Student Loans
Congress has changed the Federal Family Education Loan Program sponsored by the US Department of Education and eliminated participation by financial institutions like credit unions. Students should contact their school's financial aid office to obtain student loans. Our members with existing student loans will continue to enjoy our partnership with Great Lakes Higher Education for payment processing only on existing loans. The student must work with the school's financial aid office for all loans to be disbursed after July 1, 2010. The new government direct loan program still requires the completion of a Free Application For Financial Student Aid known as a fafsa for each academic year. Generally, this form is completed early in the calendar year for school sessions beginning in the fall.
MMCCU does not provide private student loans at this time.

Kwik Cash Line of Credit
If you have a checking account with us you can apply for a Kwik Cash Line of Credit. Credit lines are available up to $5,000.00 and provide several advantages. First, the rate is great-typically much lower than prevailing credit card rates. Second, there are several ways to access your credit line (in person, at an ATM or POS, write a check or use CUWeblink). Also, the Kwik Cash provides overdraft protection that saves you from paying excessive overdraft or NSF fees.
