3Monthly minimum periodic payments made during the draw period may not fully amortize the remaining balance of the line of credit at the maturity date.  Any outstanding balances due at the end of the draw period will require a monthly principal and interest payment that will continue until the HELOC account balance is paid in full.  Closing costs range from $400 – $900.  If an appraisal is required, the cost typically ranges from $300 – $450.  Property insurance is required.  The maximum annual percentage rate that can apply is 18%.
